Being able to do a basic development of a flat surface or body is definitely a useful tool, but is not enough to be called "sheetmetal" in my opinion and should be treated that way. Most of my colleagues, customers and vendors are not interested in Fusion until sheetmetal is built in with the core features needed to be competitive with existing solutions. This development procedure, known as SCRATCHING, is used when the object to be made requires little or no duplication. When a single part is to be produced in quantity, a different development procedure is used.
